Arike Gill

Arike Gill (1983) focuses on drawings and light installations. She graduated from the Royal Academy of The Hague in 2013 and combines her autonomous art practice with her work as an archivist in a science museum. Whereas in her capacity as a collection manager she objectively archives collections from explorers, in her art she takes on the role of explorer herself. Through her drawings and installations she travels through time, processes residues from the past, present and future and rearranges these in order to form new meanings.
