Inge Aanstoot

Inge Aanstoot (Rotterdam, 1987) graduated from the Willem de Kooning Academy in 2009. In 2014 and 2015 she consecutively won the Dutch art awards ‘Piketprijs voor Schilderkunst’ and ‘Sacha Tanjapenning’. In 2016 the Rotterdam museum Kunsthal dedicated Hall 6 to a large mural by Inge Aanstoot, who is fascinated by symbolism, the infinite associative capabilities of man and the endless stream of images that engulf us every day. Her work can be described as self-portraits: whirlwinds of daily events and experiences, dreams, wishes and anguishes.
